Alice Fitz Community Garden is situated on the corner of Alice Fitz Playground. The garden is mostly individual plots with two large, shared community beds. The garden has a pollinator garden and participates in the City’s pilot compost program.
The garden features a new shed that was built by a local artist, Ellanor. The project was funded through the City of Richmond’s Public Art Commission to not only hold tools and collect rainwater, but to tell the story of the neighborhoods, Blackwell and Manchester. It is a viewable time capsule showcasing photos, art, and writings of the community.
We hope you stop by to check it out!
