The Friends of Libby Hill Park and the Department of Parks, Recreation & Community Facilities will be planting trees on Saturday, January 11th.

The Friends of Libby Hill Park are dedicated to tending to the gardens overlooking the view that named Richmond, caring for and planting trees to maintain shade for park vistors to enjoy, and providing resources to restore and repair park amenities, such as the Park House. In partnership with PRCF, they are welcoming neighbors and community to join this tree planting event.

Volunteers will assist with digging holes, root pruning, and planting trees.

This project runs from 9-noon.

  • Please dress warmly in layers and wear sturdy shoes.

  • Bring a reusable water bottle.

  • Street parking is available.

Volunteers who sign up for Inaugural Day of Service projects are invited to join us for a Kickoff event on Friday January 10th from 4-6 pm at Midtown Green. You will receive a link to register after you sign up for the volunteer project. Thank you for your participation!
