In 2024, the City of Richmond officially became a Bee CityUSA. Join members of the Friends of Grace Street Park as they work with Parks, Recreation & Community Facilities to replace invasive shrubs with native plants to support pollinator habitat.

Volunteers will assist with cleaning up and installing new shrubs in the park. This opportunity runs from 11am-2pm.

  • This park covers two medians. Volunteers will be entering the street. Safety vests will be required and provided.

  • A planting demonstration will occur at the beginning of the shift.

  • Dress in layers, wear sturdy shoes, and bring a reusable water bottle. We will have extra gloves, but feel free to bring your own pair.

  • Street parking is available along Grace, Allen, and Monument.

Volunteers who sign up for Inaugural Day of Service projects are invited to join us for a Kickoff event on Friday January 10th from 4-6 pm at Midtown Green. You will receive a link to register after you sign up for the volunteer project. Thank you for your participation!
